Our Foundation in Special Operations

Officially established in March of 2023 and based out of Dallas Texas, TSG Blades was created from a collaboration of over three and a half decades of operator experience in the Navy SEAL Community by former Navy SEALs Jared Shaw and Trey Lindsey. The first two knife designs the company has created, the TSG Blades Overt and TSG Blades Covert, were developed over a 6-year process leveraging experiences and lessons learned throughout the 20-year Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) in numerous operational environments.

The Founders

Trey Lindsey - Founder & Lead Designer

Born and raised in the small town of Canton in rural Northeast Missouri, Trey Lindsey is the co-founder and CEO of TSG Blades based out of Dallas, Texas. Trey served in the United States Navy for over 20 years, 18 of which were spent as a Navy SEAL, including 13 years as a member of the Navy's Tier 1 Special Mission Unit, SEAL Team 6. He also served as a Naval Security Forces Police Officer.  His specialty is physical security and anti-terrorism. A seasoned combat veteran, Trey participated in more than a dozen operational deployments overseas during his career.

Trey's operational background includes:

• Special operations deployments across multiple theaters
• Advanced tactical instructor certifications
• Development of field equipment protocols for specialized units
• Consulting for military and law enforcement organizations worldwide

Battle-Tested Fixed Blade Designs

The TSG Blades Overt and Covert were meticulously designed, merging features and characteristics of numerous other tactical and concealment SD knives to create the ultimate fixed blades designed for multiple operating environments. TSG Blades is excited to announce our strategic partnerships with knife manufacturer Revo Indie, owned by Tommy Ward, and knife industry insider Chris Brooks.  Tommy and Chris have over a half century in the US knife design and manufacturing industry. What makes us the proudest with TSG Blades is that all our products and components are 100% American-made, supporting other American small businesses.

Beyond the Blade: Training and Tactical Expertise

Leveraging his extensive military experience, he has dedicated his post-military career to running TSG Blades and his other company, Gallowglass Guardian Group, enhancing training proficiencies for law enforcement, military, and civilians through security and defense consulting, tactical training courses, leadership and team building, as well as communications and public speaking. Trey also holds a Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training.
